Hoping some wise ones can answer this ..................

I have 3 key PCB's and will hopefully get a nice man with a Nanocom to have a bash / let me have a bash at programming 'em to the Discovery BCM soon ...........

Stuck onto the PCB's Chips is a Date 14/12/01 plus a six character alpha numeric Code 2BD9E8 also (with only one of the PCB's) I have another label with a 15 digit number 255033352825015

My Questions ...................

Which of these three is it that Nanocom requires to carry out the procedure (or is it some / all of them) ???

if it is the 15 digit one, I take it I will have to send the other 2 PCB's to an Auto Locksmith to extract the 15 digit Code ???

I am hoping to end up with at least 2 working PCB's out of this little stash.

TIA

Cheers Dave

It will be the code below the date. I have a Nanocom, but I’m in Lanarkshire so a bit far away.

Thank you that's great news :) Two of my 3 PCB's have that number, one does not ;)

I think that long 15 digit number is the "Bar Code" that some guys refer to, needed on Test Book (and perhaps Lynx "Phone Screen Glued App") IIRC ;)
There is a seller on Fleabay says he can decode and supply the Bar Code for £5.99 from that number below the Date, but from what you say I don't need to pay him for that service if Nanocom decodes that for us :)

nanocom will not decode the bar code but the short code it needs can be extracted just by looking at it , see the pic below, the short code are the six characters starting from second one on the long code

Thank You for the reply.

Yup, I got that now, I have 2 PCB's that have the sticker on their Chips, so hopefully those 2 will do.

The original Key I got with the car doesn't have the sticker, yet to check the Book Pack, but it is possible this Car has had the BCM Changed anyways

That is exactly what I needed to know, so when I go visit the man with Nanocom I now know which numbers to have at the ready ;)

Of course I don't know if the receiver in the Car is any good, I did inspect it when I had the Headlining out and it was all clean and dry, but I'm guessing without Nanocom I have no way of knowing if it's OK or not ................... I'll have a quick look on Snap On before I go in I know it can access BCM, I got the EKA out of it just in case lol. I know it doesn't do Keys / Version Codings though ;)

Thanks again, Cheers Dave
