Discovery 2 interior lights stay on

Think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy a decent diagnostic tool.

Any recommendations as I need to get her sorted once and for all.

Depends on your definition of "decent" I love my Foxwell pro 520 and others say the 530 is even better, others say you "have to" have either a Nanocom or a Hawkeye, which are far more expensive and each one only works with one vehicle unless you pay for unlock codes for others, whereas the Foxwell works for all Land Rovers and Jags.
But there are problems with all of them.
Notriously the nanocom seems unable to decide which sensor on an axle is the problem, the Foxwell might not be able to program new keys.
But for day to day stuff the Foxwell is great.
I'm biased and don't like spending too much money!

I'm defo on your page when it comes to value for money.
What won't the foxwell do that the Nano or hawkeye will.....

Bit of an update of what I've noticed.... We have front and rear off side actuators fitted as well as the rear door.....
She has been locked over night with no issues...... Just got home, bleeped her open, then closed, then open, then closed... Woo hoo she is working like normal. Started the engine for a few seconds, turned off and bleeped to lock the doors..... Dohhh the alarm bleeps once again notifying of an open door.... Unlock her and relock her and she works normal.... Does that make sense....
Looks like a double door lock from the remote and she will work

Any ideas..???

It doesnt make much sense cos the door status monirtoring switches in the actuators are purely mechanical they have nothing to do with the motors so a possibility is that one of them reacts to the vibrations or something, not a good scenario cos these kind of faults are very hard to find... though better check the looms where they pass between the body and doors cos a chaffed wiring at one of them can also cause such thing.

Evening all, quick update....

So just as a preccausion, I've replaced the battery, massive improvement on starting as a starter for 10.
She's not been put onto any hawkeye or nanocom yet, looking to book somewhere for next weekend.
She is still not right, but I've got all of the actuators now plugged in and I can lock and unlock the car all OK, as long as its via the front drivers door. What I mean by that is that I can open and close the drivers door and the interior light goes out how it should and of course system sees the doors are closed.
Different on the rear and boot...... If I open those doors on their own, the interior lights come on, but when closed the lights stay on...... Boo. I can activate the dashboard button to lock the doors, that in turn locks the doors and the interior light does out.

Not having all three of them, I cannot tell you!
But for day to day stuff the Foxwell seems fine.

Does the foxwell read the bcm etc...... Checking actuators....

Hi. The passenger and boot door switches are all on the same circuit in parallel so if one of them is not OK it affects all of them and you can't figure out which one with any diagnostic tool, when one of those doors are open the switch closes to earth.... the problem is somewhere on that circuit, the driver's door has it's own separate circuit... beside that i cant say more than it was already said in the first part of this thread

Thought id give you a quick update....

I'm afraid it's not a good update.

She is back to normal!! Yep, locks as she should, no door open warnings, no nothing.

Let's see how long she lasts for....
