Discovery 2 Facelift Headlight Theft

Just thought I would post this..... Discovery 2 Facelift owners beware......... I got home saturday morning to find my beloved Abby minus both her headlights. The theiving scumbags had nicked them at 00.15hrs saturday morning and according to my neighbour who chased after them in his boxers, its took them no more than 30 seconds to rip the pair of them out. So claim on my insurance tomorrow, thank the lord for protected no claims discount, gonna try and wangle a pair of bolted in headlight protectors out of them. I hate them and they are ugly but will save a second claim when they come back for the new ones.

I have no decided against the headlight guards as they are too ugly. So I will be designing and getting made up a headlight fixing security upgade kit.

Look how many come up on ebay with 'slight damage' or 'trim parts missing'.

If the originals weren't so expensive, and if buyers were more circumspect about where/who they were buying from, it wouldn't be so much of an issue, but human nature being what it is you have to find ways of protecting the car.

Rear light guards have started to be hit by this scum too. Get some security screws from screwfix to slow em down.
