Hi people.

I have a disco 2 v8, i wanted to put the facelift parts on, got a set of the new clocks.

Fitted them to my disco but the millage went to 140k and started flashing( my disco has only done 60k )

So i thort i would swap the back circuit board of my old clocks on to the new ones, did this millage went back to 60k but still flashing, but the new circuit board is different to the old one so had to try and change the motors that drive the fuel and temp gauges, need less to say for some reason i cant get the fuel and temp gauge to work played around but both sets of clocks are not wanting to play any more!!!

So i am just going to buy another set of clocks but i would like to get the 60k millage back on the clock without it flashing

Does anyone know who to do this? was told the millage is stored in the ecu is this true?

Thanks

Both the clock are in miles, i have hunted around using google but cant seem to find any answers

Thanks

the milage is stored in both the speedo and the bcu if both milages are not the same then they will flash to say somethings wrong you can synk the to back together but it will only set to the heigher milage

The workshop manual says that Testbook is required to retrieve the old reading and transfer to the new unit.

There is also a note about not storing the instrument pack face-down, as there is damping fluid for the needles that will leak out.
