Can anyone help I put the wrong code in my stereo after changing the battery now just says security tried leaving the ignition on in position 1 and disconnecting it

What's head unit do you and what's the model and year? of the vehicle as there's more than one unit that can be fitted.
If its a factory fitted Philips head unit? If it controls the CD mult player then just entering an incorrect code one even there's a one minute time delay before a second code exempt can be done. Second incorrect code the time delay doubles, if you carry on then the delay is 4, 8, 16 mins etc.

Much the same with the Philips CATS radio/ cassette head unit.
