Hi,
My pride and joy is a 1993 Discovery TDi - with an attitude problem! If I leave the front sun roof open (with or without the blinds on) and then lock the vehicle and activate the alarm, I can guarantee that the alarm will go off within 3 - 30 minutes. If I close the roof everything is fine - but it can get a bit hot in there! Rear sunroof causes no problems at all.

Has anyone ever come across this before? I recon it could be teenage tantrums, but I never figured out how to control that with the kids either :)

All (helpful) suggestions welcome.

Ta.

Mine does this too, and so does my other car with a Cobra alarm. I think the movement sensors are setting the alarm off because of the air moving around in the car. The cobra alarm has a mode to disable the movement sensors for this but the disco don't. Anyway, I don't think there's much you can do about it.

With mine I lock it with the key instead of using the remote locking fob - this turns the alarm on but not the interior sensors.

i don't have sunroof's myself but the movement sensor's are disabled if you lock it with the key

Pull down the volumetric sensor and disconnect it,the alarm ECU wont know any different and you wont have internal protection - but then you can lock on the fob.
