Disco1 chassis

Anyone fitted a Disco1 chassis to a 90, My 90 chassis is nackered, I have a Disco 1 with a good chassis. I know the wheelbase is longer on the Disco and outriggers will have to be sorted, but is it possible.

Yes. Two ways. One make it as 100 inch defender using 110 rear tub and roof etc and everything else from disco. Other is shorten the chassis but get q plate etc Look at dorio 4x4 defender build website

There you go. It is for range rover but range rover and disco are the same If u keep all the running gear from disco including gearbox. Make up a cover box for the gear sticks as it will be in middle between the seats etc. if u keep all disco engine gearbox tranny and chassis. Just put defender body on the dvla might let u keep the original disco number plate etc.

try watching a 4x4 is born to see a 100" defender built on to a range rover chassis (same chassis virtually).
