Hi all I've recently brought a discovery 2 as a donor for my defender rebuild, I brought the disco with MOT and running sweet as a nut, however I left the ignition on, leaving me with a dead battery. I put the jump leads on and jumped it off of my dads Range Rover sport, the only problem is that I put the jump leads on the wrong way. Now the disco won't start, it's turning over, but I'm getting no fuel to the injectors, could someone please help

Stop solenoid getting no power or is burnt out. Run a wire direct to it from the battery positive and you should hear a click as you touch the live wire to the terminal on it. If it clicks try starting it now. If it doesn't click, remove the solenoid and take out the plunger and spring and re install. Engine will run but will need stalling to stop it.
There may be an immobiliser cutting the power to the solenoid as well but the by pass wire will sort that.

That's the only one apart from the throttle regulator

Sorry, I'm outside on me digger so can't hear my phone.
I've got no pc and that pic is too small for me to see on my phone.
Buuuut...it looks like it is shrouded with an anti theft contraption? You'll need to get that off to remove the solenoid but try getting the wire from the battery to splice into the existing wire near to it and see if it clicks. I'm not familiar with disco's but have you checked fuses incase the solenoid is on a fused circuit?
Also, when you switch the ign on and off can you hear the solenoid clicking? Get someone to turn the key while you listen. Right, cup of tea finished, back on the digger.
