Disco v8 convert to lpg !!! Dual fuel system ?

Hi,

I have read lots topics about L.P.G conversation to a Disco !! Everything seems to be fine with it, so my question is can I make it a dual fuel system ?

I can choice which Fuel I want my Car to run on ?
L.P.G or 95 Petrol when I wanted ?

Any other places to fit the L.P.G tank instead the trunk in the back ?
For example, Underneath the car ?

hello there i have a 99 disco that runs on petrol or lpg just press the button on the dash and i have a 70 lt tank under the car but i do have smaller petrol tank hope this helps

Mine has 2 LPG tanks in place of the petrol tank and a smaller petrol tank in the offside wing.

I have few more Question about LPG conversion !!

1. Is it possible to only keep the tank underneath the car ? I've got a Disco II
2004 model
Does it effect off road ?

2. I have noticed the cheap Gas, but how long does it really take from
saving $$ after the first big installation fees ? 1 or 2 years ?

3. Any problem on the car after LPG or extra service care is needed ?

4. Which is the best Conversion Kit for LAND ROVERS ?

1) dont unstand the question after reading ur 1st post.
2) depends on your mileage but with gas u aint giving the gov'ment as much
3) my system was fitted in 2000 and theres 100,000 miles on it and no problems, id suggest an annual check on the lpg system for piece of mind.
4) no idea, mines a single point tartarini on a 3.9 disco

id recommend lpg but wouldnt pay for a conversion

Sorry about the first question !!

1. I wanted to convert LPG, but don't want the Gas tank to be hanging at the back trunk.. Take too much space for it !!

I guess there are many ways to install the gas tank, if is possible to install it underneath the car, would it affect being running on off-road ?

you can fit torpedo tanks underneath, some have a smaller petrol tank and torpeo tanks as for affecting off road i cudnt say but id imagine theres plenty room to fit em

After few days of research, I am still not too sure which brand is the best for LAND ROVER DISCO. Some say is the same but some prefer certain label, After few forums on LPG conversion, I guess they all have some problems !!!

Which is better ? What needs to be care for installing LPG on Disco II ?
The Switcher seems to be a major problem...

1. After 2200 RPM then switch to LPG ?
2. LPG SWITCHER LIGHTS KEEP FLASHING
3. The Pipe that connect to the Engine leaks ...!!
