Disco td5 no power

Hi,

My 2002 disco Td5 has no power before the turbo cuts in. I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, injector seals, air filter, MAF, injector harness and the throttle peddle.

I lost power after I went off roading and got stuck in a bog hole. When you start it from cold it smokes black smoke and it clears up after 5 minutes.
It was after this it had no power.

Must have damaged something when you went in, perhaps this might help

That list is for 300tdi not much help for a Td5 the only proper way to diagnose this is to plug in a dedicated tester and watch live sensor readings especially AAP and MAP... you said you changed the injectors, did you save the codes into the ECU ?

Yes I saved the injector codes. And the Sensors are reading correctly.

Check boost hoses

I have put all new hoses on it.

My '02 Disco doesn't belch black smoke at start up but is pretty much dead below boost. It has been since i bought it last May. I assumed that's how TD5s were.

For anyone wondering I have replaced the turbo an it’s got all of its power back. Time for a remap now

Glad to hear it's all sorted! I've bought a straight through exhaust system for my TD5. I'm hoping that'll help my turbo to spin up at lower revs because mine is pretty much dead before boost too. It certainly did the job in my Ibiza, mind you, i suspect the remap adding about 50 extra horses made a big difference too...
