Thinking of changing over to a range rover 07 - 08 plate petrol
i expect it to be around 80 - 120000 miles
i gather auto box can be an expensive problem ?
what are the engines like at this sort of millage still got plenty left ?
Also iam told to watch for water ingress in rear wells can affect air suspension pump ?
Any confirms on aboves and anything else you can advise me on would be great
Many thanks

Hi

I had a TD5 disco a few years ago and now have a RR vogue 4.2SC, you can only get auto ones, on the year your looking at its the newer 6 speed and they are pretty good, it was the older ones on the TD6 that had loads of issues.

Don't expect anything like the MPG of a TD5 if you go to a petrol range I'm getting 15 average.

Again the water ingress was on the earlier ones but it's easy to check. Also check electric compartment on left hand side where the DVD player and other bits are make sure it's dry.

Make sure the suspension goes up and down and do it a few times.

Also check all the electrics work ok, all the little things like TV, heated seats etc. Get as high a spec as you can.

Mine has 100k miles and is as good a new runs amazing sounds beautiful.

You must have a full service history if not don't even consider it.

Many thanks boys some good info.
I guess my search will go on a bit yet
no i dont expect TD 5 mpg but a very nice sound from that big petrol
