disco sunroofs

is their a place to get sunroof seals and info on weep hole cleaning and where the drains are? iam new to this site and to landrovers

if you find somewhere to get disco sunroof seals that dont leak, let me lknow as mine have leaked from new and i was told by lr dealers that "they all do". typical lr build quality eh

My 96' landy started leaking the day after i got it!

..i pulled the roof lining out and saw each sunroof has two small dia. tubes for drainage. gave them a good clean up. also got the silicone gun out and filled a few holes near the winding handle (where it was leaking from). Only had it leak once since then - because i left it open!

- wierd design, very prone to leaks!

HI everyone and happy new year one placed overlooked is the half moon shape which is where the motor/manual handle sits the water can drain through this so as a extra precaution is fill in the half moon shape with a silicone glue,does not have to look to tidy as you cant see it when the winder/electric motor is in place,hope this helps tiga.

Great! I have been seeking a solution to this problem for several years. The LR dealers are as much use as a leaking sunroof in a monsoon?

doesnt the armour plating stop water ingress

yes up to the door/window height then it become a little damp

so if the baddies get a water cannon and aim above window heigh they will render yer 5 ton tank useless

first of all it was an asian bit of stuff but did not really want to say thathere for fear of beig called a racist. It was .5 ton (you know half a ton) that I said and it was exaggeration refering to the underbody protection, I suppose the bigger MT's dont help the MPG either. But if we are going to get precious about content, lets all read and interpret it properly first or perhaps you all need your mother to do that for you then. I suppose if I really try I can see what the proble might be. I have mistakenly landed on the wrong website thinking it was about landrovers but instead it was yellow disco's website who works at a mental hospital and has brought his work home with him again.

since when was i going on, you started getting all ****ty with me cos i was responding to your posts. thats what a forum is about. if you bother to look you will see that there aint a lot of postings tonught so when a fresh post pops up i tend to read it, as for following you around, i wouldnt flatter yerself old lad
