disco smokes after timing belt snaps, HELP

Hello i have a disco 200tdi, last weak the timing belt snaped, so i put a new one on, changed the bent push rods i had. Its starts up great a lot quieter than before, problem is now when left, say over night and i start it up its fine but when reved up it smokes like mad until i drive about 200 yards then it stops, any idea whats causing this before i have to rip the head off.

check the timing again, it could be slightly out

i am thinking that myself now as i took the head off checked all the valves and pistons and there is no damage to them, im thinking maybe the injector pump timing could be out .

If I was you I'd replace the valve guide seals, now the heads off.

spot on with what u said about checking the timing again ORMONDSTREET it was the injector pump timing it was slightly out, but that made a big difference to what the engine was running like, no more smoke bellowing out, VERY HAPPY. :clap2:
