Disco SE 7 V8i wheels fit a 90 300tdi?

I have a co worker that owns a 97 Disco SE7 V8i.
He brought it in out of the US and its in terrible shape probably due to flood damage.

The Disco has 5 alloy wheels in great shape and he says he will sell them to me.

Will the fit my 98 Defender 90 300tdi ?????

97, is that a Discovery 1 or 2?
If it's a 2, no, not without adaptors.

How can I tell if its a 1 or 2 and if it is a 2 where do I get the adapters or should I not do the deal and look for something else?

These wheels really look nice.

Went to Wikipedia, according to what they say and show, I'm pretty sure that its a series 1.
Wiki says the series 2 debut in 98.

Aye if it's a 97 it's a disco1 which is why I said they'll fit.
