disco rat project

ello people im debating re painting me disco and i wanna blackboard paint it to make it look mega gnarly. Trouble is i dont have a clue about painting.
do i need to sand and primer it first or do i just wack the paint on??????

also if i do will the paint stand up to rain/ DEEP puddles...................cheers

what a waste of a vehicle

Painted mine Matt black with some lorry paint off ebay. About £10 a litre. Got small small rollers from homebase.
Removed the lights and spare wheel.
Then da'd the body, washed it down with washing up liquid and gave it a go over with panel wipe.
Applied one thick coat then left it over night, then added a second.
Looks a bit rough but I will be thining down some more paint and doing a final smooth coat.
