I have a '93 200tdi Range rover and a '93 200tdi Disco
Here are my observations:
Good points: Range Rover: Better rear space, more comfy seats, easy quick acces to boot,(no heavy wheel on door) I think classic rangies look way better. For some reason the rangie is much faster??
Bad Points: Range Rover - Rear tailgates have questionable rusting and locking issues. More dated design.

From what you say i would go for the Range Rover if you know its history.
I think i will, my only concern that i have just found out is that the LPG tanks are underneath rather than in the boot. What should i do to protect them as i will be going off road.
for off road i have no complaints from my 200tdi disco..and king can verifie it went every where his rangie, marks rangie and grunts depender did almost standerd(i have +2s)..
i only got stuck once(when i got high centered) but that was due to lack of tread on road tire's in slippy ruts![]()
i also prefere the classic rr for look's but the need for 7 seat's ment the rangie went and the disco took her place![]()
What ones cheapest?Knowing the history of the rngie is a big plus point but I would go for the best deal. But Iam stingey
