My 96 disco is a coming in holes! it's the nasty steel bits,16 years of Scottish winters (8months a year with road salt )have taken their toll.
Now my fairly simple disco has given trouble electrically,so a newer model fills me with dread, just more unessacary ,badly made components to go wrong.
To that end I am seeking an old disco like mine, but one that has spent it's days in a dry country, does anyone know of an importer of ,perhaps middle east or Japanese disco's ? I have seen a few about but have no idea who brings them into U.K.
Cheers
Lee

Try Rimmer Brothers, or any of the grey importers from Japan who bring in Pajeros, Bongos, Friendees, Delicas and the like - just google those models or try ebay and Autotrader for those models but look for the direct importer, most of them have agents in Japan who can find models to order

Is yours too bad to repair Lee? Cos that's what everybody else does. I'd be surprised if it was more rotten than mine when I started with it...

No top half of rear crossmember
Boot floor 75% detached
Rear arches rusted away from side body, of which there was 25% missing
No outer sills
50% front footwell disappeared
75% front inner arches disappeared
Headlamp boxes 50% gone

All repaired now and got another 20 years in it!

How about Algy's Autos ? anyone had any dealings with them ?
Yes , I know any disco will start to rot as soon as it gets here, but mine has lasted 11 years in my ownership.
I don't mind working on my motorbike, but hate having to work under cars,so I wont be repairing it,might get somebody else to, someone who doesn't mind all the rust falling in his eyes ,and the hot bits of weld setting his overalls on fire ( still have the scars )
