Had to change my battery and the radio then asked for a code. I googled a bit and found a site that could get me the code if I supplied the serial number, so I had to take out the radio (radio/tape/cd player, in a 97 disco). When I replaced it, it wouldn't come on so I removed it to check the fuse and for loose cables - all ok. Now I've got the code off the local dealer and with a torch you can just see it asking for a code (its very dim). You enter the code and the radio turns on but the display is dim and there's no sound. The cd doesn't spin up and the tape doesn't work and it's very annoying! Any ideas?
Cheers, Steve
PS - forgot to say, there's a flashing AF on the bottom left of the display - could this mean alarm fault? Also, when I first fired it up after the battery change, the display was normal (and asking for a code) but is now very dim (and no sound)
