disco electrickery problem

Well on me way to work this morning in the dark the lights and radio all went off without warning several times ? When i put the handbrake on the lights came back on and wiggling the handbrake made the lights brighter ?

The indicators now make a nice white noise sound out of the rear speaker.

When i put on full beam the lights radio cut out half the time.

When I put on the spots the tach and speedo die

When i put on the lights ,fan and radio the temp guage goes to max

WTF is going on ????

youve got a bad earth

any idea which one ??? or at least the area ?

Try cleaning the main body earth behind the battery for a start.

your a star ! all sorted was the earth with the 10mm nut that has 3 connections by the battery...the largest one wasnt bolted down

Glad you got it sorted.

The reason wiggling your handbrake affected the lights is probably because its cable was acting as your missing earth... may be worth checking it to make sure it hasn't been damaged by this ordeal

sling a new handbrake cable on mate. If it was getting hot enough to knock your lights on and off it will be damaged under the sheath.
