Disco axle in my 90? Steering damper?

I have a disco front axle I fitted to my 90, and I was wondering if I was to fit a steering damper in the usual defender way using a conversion clamp (pic attached) and still keep the damper behind the axle that the disco axle has would that be a bad idea?
Any advice appreciated

why would you need to,except mask an issue that should really be sorted

Sorry should have stated that I would replace the disco one. So essentially i would have 2 new steering dampers

I also dont see any reason to fit 2, if you like shiny stuff how about one of the return to centre ones?
