Hi im new to the forum, i have Disco series 2 TD5.
There is a fluid leak under the drivers door which i believe is part of the ACE. It is on the right hand side of unit 1 of a bunch of pipes is leaking as it connects to unit. What i need to know is a repair easy/ cheap, is a new unit required, or can unit alarm be dissconnected, and vehicle driven safely without ACE (active cornering enhancement)

1. ACE is an excellent system that when working correctly is a worthwhile advantage imo - however LR's poor implementation of it means that it can be expensive to repair.

2. There are various ways of resolving leaks: replace the pipes and their seals (expensive) or modify the valve block to take std hydraulic fittings - this takes proper engineering know-how.

in your case it seems the seals are gone... as long as the pipes are ok u can replace just these seals( RVW100010)they are not very cheap but u can take one out and if u find proper good quality orings to fit perfectly on them*(it's 135 Bar there) then it'll be a cheap fix.... be aware dont drive it without oil in the reservoir cos u'll end up with a burnt pump. U cant just disconnect this system, u can fix it or replace it entirely with standard ARB's . Search the forum and ull get many oppinions on this
