Hi guys
New on here so excuse me if I am repeating any questions. I got my Disco 300tdi a few months ago and it has a weird miss fire but now has a water leak on the timing cover to block just under the stat housing. Hence I need to get the front cover off. I'll check the pump timing at the same time as I feel this might be my miss fire as it had a timming belt fitted about 6k miles ago.
Anyway my question.
Does anyone know the pitch circle or hole spacing of the front pulley as I've costed the tool and it's twice the price of the spares and I feel I can make one??
Would appreciate if anyone know so I can get this baby sweet once more as I now have a caravan that's in need of enjoying lol

Thanks in advance guys

Regards

Welcome to LZ. :)

Most of those issues have been covered already. I would try forum search in the Disco section.

I am not very familiar with 300Tdi, but from memory water leak might be P gasket.

For the pump sprocket holders, try shopping around, they are often available at widely varying prices.

Thank you for your help Turboman.. yes I think it's the P gasket but I have to take the front cover off from what I can see in Haynes and YouTube. I was originally told it was the last of the 200TDI motors but Its the 22L Range Rover 300TDI as it's auto too. I've been given some measurements for the pulley lock tool so I'm looking at work to see if we have the metal now..
Thank you once again

If you have the materials and facilities at work to make the tool, it makes sense.
The pulley holders work well, I have often used them, but not on 300TDi.
