Hi all,

I have a 2010 Discovery GS 3.0L with a FBH.

I can test the FBH via my GAP Tool works fine so I’ve purchased this from eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Webasto-...e-a467-486d-a85e-e94e7232e1fd&redirect=mobile

Im trying to get the above to work remote wise but so far no luck.

I’ve connected the module up as per instructions power and to pin 2.

I can hear the module clicking when the remote is pressed but the FBH does not kick in.

I have enabled the climate setting in the CCF file as per GAP and still no joy.

I’ve also emailed the seller and he said as follows “My friend... the password is at the Webasto Factory. Only with their help can we make your heater functionaly. The procedure is as follows: The current software is extracted with the help of a Webasto diagnostic device (see in my ads on ebay) and sent to Webasto. After we pay 100£, he will send us an unlocked and functional software that we must insert into the electronic unit of the heater”.

Anyone with ideas on a fix?

Just read the ad. seems you have to do a bit more than you did and also it depends on which end of 2010 your truck is. I'd try first one then the other as the changeover year is 2010.
"Operation the Webasto on Range Rover / Land Rover 4(2010 to Present) with Thermo Top V or VEVO(AH22) is only possible by canceling the password of Heater ECU."
I know 10 10ths of feck all about Disco 4s or FBHs just going by what it says in the ad.
Seems hilariously expensive to just switch something on that you could pop out and do then pop back inside and have a cup of tea while waiting for it to warm up.;)
But it does look as if you have been snared into buying it then they want another 100 sovs off you to make it work.
Maybe eBay can help?

What I don’t understand is others have the same car and used the same module and it worked no issues.

Might look at a proper LR version but that’s not plug and play.

Have you tried this (from powerfuluk website)

You need a fully charged battery, more than quarter tank full of fuel to meet normal conditions for fbh to work.
All false starts cleared it locks out after x3 failed attempts to start.
Revisit your connections at the fbh I'm sure you need to add an extra connection on the plug.

I look at mine tomorrow and take a few pics

If you mean that red wire that was dropped on the later D3s it looks like it was re added on the D4. Everything I have found just says W-Bus connection on pin 2.

Yeah I'm sure that's the extra wire and it's a pretty simple install. Sometimes ours doesn't activate and just clicks like you said yours is doing.
Think I used my id 11 tool to test the fbh and let it have a good burn to clean it out.

Also have used the air line in the intake to help it fire in the past.

Tested ours last week ready for the bad weather as we prewarm ours due to 5 fecked glow plugs and a defrosted car is a nice thing to get into.

You may find it will not work until the car has gone to sleep which is approximately 20 minutes
Or you could just unplug the can wires so the car does not know the heater is running
