Hi there to all of my lovely landyzone buddies I hope that this message finds you all well :)

:p Okay I'm feeling a bit stupid with this thread after reading some of the more major problems that some of you are experiencing but here goes anyway:

Bertie has a diesel leak, just a small one (a few drops onto carboard placed underneath his front end) but a leak just the same, took him for a drive and could smell the diesel whilst driving with the heater on.

Cut a long story short, parked up, popped the bonnet, took some photos and noticed a 'wet patch':

Thought I'd start at the top of the engine and work my way downwards and this I spotted straight the way as the other injector connections are dry.
Any advice would be truly appreciated :) and for those of you who don't already know I'm a complete newby but eager to learn :D

Such a newby that I'm a member of the AA for 'home start' 'roadside' and 'recovery'!!!!

Thankyou for taking a look xx

the rubber tubing pipes on my injectors needed replacing as when you moved them you could see a small split in two of them, that would be a starter for ten

try changing them and run the engine, see if the leak moves, thats if you cannot find another bit of tubing to replace

Sorry it's been a while getting back to this leak of a problem but as usual life's been hectic.

Anyway back to here and now:

To date I've replaced the three leak off fuel pipes with new ones, and have replaced the engine oil filler cap with a new one (as there was a very slight leak from the old one)
:boom:
But there's still a leak in the same place that the original above photo shows. The leaky substance is very dark in colour and doesn't smell like diesel ........... so is it engine oil? And if so any ideas on how to track this little criminal down would be truly appreciated

Thankyou x

remove cyclone and clean hole and tube well apply some silicone and refit ,could also be porus pipe to cuclone /loose hose clip or rocker cover gasket

check the hose clip is a good one as cheep ones dont tighten up well and also if your filler caps not new then clean and dry with hair dryer missus might not like it though :D seal and replace

Okay will do, have just checked out a link on here showing how to remove 'cyclone breather' and replace, just a quick question - what do you clean the inside of it with?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Thankyou :)

Yep will check out the hose clip, the filler cap was a brand new one, oh and by the way I am the missus!!! lol ;)

Cheers :)

Bertie's new engine breather pipe did the trick (as well as his new leak off pipes, cyclone breather and oil cap) he's now as dry as dry can be!!!!!
Woop woop woop not a leak in sight even after a two hour drive!!! :D

Same issue with mine...

+ Some of it is engine oil as the rocker cover gasket seems to be dribbling...

Just ordered a new gasket and some leak off pipe.

See if that fixes it first :)
