Hi all. Nightmare issue with a manual 2008 disco 3……no terain selection possible and hdc/special functions off.
P0666 ecm/pcm/tcm internal temp sensor malfunction
P181D 4wd clutch solenoid valve malfunction.
Initially all pointed to solenoid so resistance checked at motor- 6.7ohms (within tolerance) and wiring from tcm checked with motor connected-7.1 ohms. Looked all good so swapped the transfer control module for a tested known good unit, fault still persisting. On reassembly cleared all faults and terain switched worked for 10-15 seconds then failed. All seems to point towards motor on the bottom on the transfer box going open circuit during operation? Or possibly an internal mechanical failing limiting operation? Any pointers very much appreciated. Thanks
