needs it to tow a big caravan.. his gaylander isnt really big enuff for the job (2.5 V6 ES 02 17k on the clock ex LR exhibition car auto)

I'd prefer, all things being equal, the D3.

Definitely the D3 ! I'm driving past this one at ProMotors every day at the moment - working in Bournemouth for a couple of weeks - and it looks quite sparkly, I must say. My mate has just bought an 06 with similar spec and it is very very impressive to drive. Much more refined than either my D1/300tdi or D2/TD5. Price looks spot on for the age and condition too.

i would go for the rangie and loose the A-bar

. I do think they are a bit on the pricey side (the other vehicles they have look a bit high too i.e 03 plate disco 2 for £12K)

Get yourself up this way, have seen similar vehicles for less than £13k

Hi Rob, as the vehicle is rated at 3500kgs max towing weight, you would be well advised to get a towbar to the same spec, to avoid any confusion/problems.

To ensure it tows well, considor a De-EGR modification and a remap from JE Engineering, they are currently charging £290+vat
