Picked my Disco up from my garage after service, MOT and clutch repair.

However upon driving down the road I found that the indicators were not working. the stalk itself is working in that the horn and light switch work however, moving the tick up and down creates no flashing or anything. I should say at this point the hazard lights work fine.

Could you give me some help with where the fault might be.

Now I know you will say take it back to the garage which I will do at the weekend if required however he is 12 miles away from me, only open early on Saturday morning and I am working until 3:30am Saturady morning. Not a good combi.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the relay could be fooked. Its a silver thingy..... do a search on indicator relays....They are usually hidden in the dash somewhere possibly under the steering wheel

could be one of several things really - flasher relay, fuse blown or dodgy connection.
check the fuses and relay first to see if they are at fault, substitute the realy with a known good one to check it.
alternatively, check the wiring on the switch, as i had one of the wires come off for the headlamps, main flash would work, indicators worked ok but no main or dip beam. ordered a new switch, stripped the wheel and bits off ready to change it, and found the broken wire - ten minutes later soldered back on and now working fine.

funny this, i changed mine yesterday for a second hane stalk assembly due to my last one putting my headlights on even when there was no key in the car, this was after them having a habit of putting main beem on for no reason as i was driving, so anyway, i changed the stalk for this one, now i have no indicators or hazards but my lights now work???? any clues? i did check for broken wires, couldnt find any, also i cant hear no relay when i apply the indies or hazards???

And the winner was.

A blown fuse.

What are the odds I wonder of having a car serviced and MOT'd and after the MOT test the fuse blowing. Ho Hum.

Still thanks a lot guys and girls for all the suggestions.

Steve
