Lots of people on here have said it can't be done without notching the top of the chassis rail below the turbo or fitting a different inlet manifold. I was talking to a local Land-Rover specialist a few days ago about fitting 200Tdi engines into series Land-Rovers. He favours fiting the turbo upside down onto the manifold because it makes the exhaust pipework easier and unclamping the compressor housing from the rest of the turbo and rotating it so that the output port faces upwards before reclamping. I realized that a consequence of doing this is that the turbo would sit higher up which gives loads more clearance between the turbo and chassis - So much that I think it would go into a 109" which has a deeper chassis section in this area.

SO, the two halfs on the turbo can be rotated, thats interesting.
The 300 turbo fits in the 109 as I've allready shown, the exhaust is no problem, the hot intercooler pipe is a bit of an issue however, it gets in the way of the wing mounting plate, rotating the compressor would help a lot.
This all assuming of course that the 200 and 300 use the same garrett charger.

On the 200Tdi I've read that there is a circlip inside the aluminium housing which when loosened alows the aluminium housing to be rotated relative to the rest of the turbo. Two new holes need to be drilled and tapped into the housing to mount the wastgate activator.

Come on Dr. Pepper get that conversion finished - I've finished my 200Tdi conversion and it's on the road;)

Hmm drilling and tapping new holes, is there enough land to do that, I'll look at mine and see, must work though if its been done.

Seeing as I can only see the windscreen up on my landy and it doesnt fit in the garage I think I can be excused from not working on it.
Lying on yer back int snow aint fun, anyways theres no race this time.
