Disco 200 after cambelt change

Not had a lot of time to spend on my disco after my marathon cam belt change,
along with new water pump, new alternator, new oil pressure switch, new coolent..
did use it one day during the week to find my wiper have seized,
cured that by taking out fuse A7 (i think)..stopped the burning smell at least...
anyway, No.1 son wanted to borrow the disco and my trailor to go to peterborough to collect another scooter
I said, take spare water, oil & power steering fluid just in case (as I know its got a leak of something)
anyway, he trundled along at a steady 55 mph till before his destination, went about 100 miles, stopped for a pee and burger.
checked the fluids, 2 were fine, power steering fluid seemed a bit low-so he topped it up..
arrived back home with latest "thing" a mid 1980`s Honda Spacy thing..
looks, well, kind of 1980`s.. think of a datsun laural, and its near that.
the front headlight has a servo motor and it pops up like a, lotus or something - weird science stuff.
along with this thing came another 2 scooters in parts, boxes of the stuff, like a treasure trove..
In the dark I had a ride round the block, yep its weired, but it goes pretty good, a sort of non revving hard continous gear change auto, but tottaly different to my more modern piaggio skipper auto, that likes to rev a bit.
I believe its fictional looks got it a place in a terminator type movie..

anyway, my disco, not used a drop of fluids since the top up earlier..
will look underneath tomorow for little wet patches....
done 220 miles too.....lol
love my old disco does I

(it says so on the back of my lexus)

*note to self - MEND THE BLOODY WIPERS, and tidy up after myself inside, its still a mess*

err, not next week, on a 5 day break - sussex again...
wipers work just fine in the lexus ;)

updated wiper seized...

well, after driving around for weeks with wiper arms & blades laying on the dashboard of my old disco, yesterday I got a seized wiper specialist onto it :D
my No. 1 son, who being a VDub man, knows all about seized wipers.
turns out the drivers side wiper trunion WAS seized solid, I mean solid.
I had been spraying WD40 twice a day on both trunions for weeks, but it took a 2 foot long pair of snap on adjustable spanners. plus a monkey wrench gripping the end to brute force the seized trunion to stert to move.
after much inching bit by bit either way while dowsing in WD40 not only did we see pure rust coming out, but in the end we got enough movement to connect back up to the mechanism, and slowly the wipers began to work..
used a whole can of WD with it on fast speed, still seeing rust running out.
wiper arms & blades replaced, but the securing nut covers left off so I can oil them frequently...

VW beetles are prone to the above wipers work I hear....

Oh, I dont do deep water fording, but live right next to a great beach ------ sand & sea air/water hates all metals/ally/ everything else except fish.........lol
