Disco 2 with 3 amigo's again

I find from time to time I get the 3 amigos but for some reason when I plug my hawkeye in there isn't any faults listed Iv checked the wheel bearings and abs sensors anyone got any ideas

If the lights go away after a restart, then it is probably the modulator switches or the PCB pins in the internal modulator connection.

Ours used to come on infrequently but always cleared after a restart.

I changed the modulator switches and did the PCB pins re-soldering and haven't had a single instance in 2 years, in fact it will be 2 years next Monday and 31,000 miles.

Yes it goes off on restarting. But I thought It would give me a fault code

Hard faults are usually hub bearings or sensor or both, they tend to be 'on' for longer and register the fault code. The switches tend to be intermittent and don't register.

Broken sensor wires are starting to come in now that the chassis have done high mileage. Usually on the front sensors where the steering makes the wires bend.

Managed to out and play in the snow and managed to get shuttle valve switch to show up And also historic shuttle valve

just got mine back from garage, had new hub put on as ABS sensor showing fault, garage decided not to renew just sensor but whole hub as the Magnetic ring!!?? if it was damaged would not send signal, anyway £465 later new hub and sensor and no Amigos!!!

There is a toothed wheel in the hub that the sensor sits near, and as the teeth pass the sensor, an AC voltage is developed and sent to the SLABS ECU. This voltage is directly proportional to the rotational speed of the road wheel.

The SLABS ECU looks at all four wheel speeds continuously and compares them to determine whether a wheel is spinning or locked.

With the Hawkeye, you can go in ABS, live data,and then to Shuttle valve switches, or something very similar. They must be both open, then both closed,when you press the brake. If only one is closed one open, it's the problem with the switches.
You can go also in the ABS, test, and also go to switches, test, you have to press the brake, and it will show if test is passed or failed. The switches have no functional role in the braking, they just indicate that the shuttle valve is moving inside the modulator.

Where will Hawkeye show faults that cause the 3 Amigos? I have been looking in EMS and found no faults.

I was stupid. Should have looked under ABS. Found and cleared faults.
