Morning All,

While trundling along the road at 60 mph the engine stopped, hmmmm, pull over etc, the fuel line from the FPR to the heater / cooler matrix had blown off at the FPR end!. As a result quickly changed the FPR....... ignition on, pump winds up but sounds as though its cavitating and the beast will not start.

Also while changing the FPR I noticed that the vacuum switch under the brake servo has a blue tube, what should this connect to?

Any ideas???

Thanks

sounds like you need to purge the air out the fuel system. Turn the ignition on and wait for the fuel pump to shut up. When it does, press the throttle pedal 5 times in quick succession. It will then run for about 3 mins. You may need to repeat this process several times.

Check the fuel cut off switch hasn't activated while yer at it.

As for the ble tube....... Has the EGR valve been removed by any chance.;)

Thanks, will try that.

What does the vacuum controller below the Brake servo do. It conects into the vacuum pipe to the servo, has a filter on the open end, and two tubes, white and blue, the blue has an end on it but bu.....d if I can see where it goes. I have taken the egr out, but don't remember it going up round there.....
