disco 2 v8 rebuild buzzing noise

i was meaning to ask any one.
before i stripped the engine down prior to the rebuild, when i turned the ingnition key on i was getting a buzzing sound from behind the clocks.
never had this before she blow the head gasket.
any body had this before.

The idle air bleed stepper motor runs when the ignition is turned on, that is located on the passenger side of the engine top manifold on mine, and the pipe runs behind the engine, so may be vibration from the motor making the pipe rattle against the bulkhead?

It is mounted in 2 rubber-lined clips and has two largish hoses on it.

hi thanks for the infor yes you are right when i went under the bonnet it was buzzing is that normal.

Yes, it is a motor and will vibrate. I think it turns off after a preset time if the engine is not running, the ECU chops it to save the battery.
