disco 2 v oil change

hi having run the disco for a while after the rebuild i want to change the oil.
whats the best type to use.

The best you can afford.

We used Shell Rotella 10W-40 Fully Synthetic.

Halfrauds are expensive for that sort of thing, go to a Shell garage and buy it.

5W-40 is also OK. We used the detergent oil so that it would clean any cr*p out of the rest of the engine. Oil is just a light treacle colour at present after 600+ miles, mostly on gas.

v8 seems to be running ok, had to nip the drivers side exhaust manifold abite apart from that settling down ok.

We are going to go over all the external stuff next week, but so far it has all behaved itself.

Got a bit of a fluffy response off idle and it hunts a bit when coming off the throttle, before settling down, but generally we are very pleased indeed.
