Just out of intrest sake, my disco has ACE & sometimes in the colder weather when first started up, it starts to jump and I mean literally. When I drive a few revolutions the ACE light comes on Amber and stays on until this may happen again, weeks maybee months later. (when light is on the jumping stops, I gather some safety mode or summate). Anybody experienced this? Any info would be gratefully received thanks in advance people.

U can try to clean or replace the filter from the valve block then beed the system through a dedicated tester(nanocom, hawkeye, etc) ... it might solve your problem.

Can it not be bled without nanocom? so what your suggesting is there's air in the system. Has this happened to you?

It cant be bled without tester.....and yes i had air in the system once and did something close to what u've described(mine just on one side).... and a clogged filter aswell......im not sure though that this is the reason for your symptoms too.

Its a bit of a myth tbh, you can bleed it no probs by rocking the car "violently" whilst the engine is running, it soon self bleeds.

Replacing the fliter actually looses hardly any fluid anyway.

Sierrafery Year mine jumps on the one side too!!!! Did you have amber ace light on too when this happened?

Nope. If u have the amber light on u better plug it in a scanner first to see what fault code is logged. ....u'll be closer to the answer....coz if the lower acceleromter is giving false inputs the system could command the actuator when not needed and develop thet jumping.
