After purchasing 2 spare wheel carriers from different sellers on E- Bay for my 2001 Discovery I'm beginning to think either I Have rogue motor, or both were advertised wrongly. Both replacement carriers had bigger wheel studs than mine and were also spaced wider apart. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don't fancy shelling out over £60 for a new one. Cheers.

You've been had, either by dishonest or stupid sellers :(

It sounds as though you've bought wheel carriers for either a Discovery 1, or a post-2002 Defender.

They both have M16 wheel studs (Discovery II has M14), on a larger PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) than the Discovery II.

Cheers Paul, Maybe I'm better off trying to get one myself from a scrapper. Hens teeth comes to mind!
