Disco 2 TD5 Side Mouldings

I have just bought side mouldings to fit on my Disco but am a bit confused with the pictorial instructions!! In the box I see that they have already got adhesive tape on them but 'the pictures' state that I should put adhesive tape on the bodywork before sticking the moulding to it - this means two sets of sticky tape, one on top of the other(????????) to keep them on. Am I reading it correctly?
Before you all start to take the ...... out of me, may I say that I am female, non-mechanically minded and VERY long in the tooth so please go gently! But I have loved and cherished each of my Land Rovers over the passed 25+ years and am fed up with the 'modern shopper' who seems to use their shopping trolley as a weapon on the sides of my beloved auto!

i would put a line of masking tape from front to back,just above the position that you want it. use a degreasing agent on bodywork. peel off the back stick on making sure it is centred.
