I have a discovery 2 TD5 for sale.
135k. Mot just ran out (8th Oct 2018)
Twin sunroof (front one sealed, rear one opens and doesn't appear to leak)
Torn passenger seat, was completely minging when I bought it and full of live ammunition. Ive since cleaned it and its started to come up well. (cant beat honesty!)
7 seater with half leather half suede seats. Climate control etc.
Turns over well, sort of coughs a lot but will not fire up. I have changed :-
Fuel pump (New)
Fuel filter, (new)
Fuel filter housing (Brand new and bloody expensive)
Fuel hoses (someone had bodged them)
Injector seals and washers (twice!)
Swapped ecu and still no change, so went back to the original
Crank position sensor (new)
Injector loom (new)
Engine loom (good secondhand one)
Now I haven't changed the FPR and there is a funny gurgle coming from there when the fuel pump stops, also fuel appears to run straight back to the tank at all times. I haven't checked the fuel pressure. Probably should have. Literally cannot be bothered. Ive just bought a D3 so sod it, not bothered with the D2 anymore. We have another D2 that works perfectly anyway!
Chassis is solid. Surface rust but cannot see anything rotten. When towed back the 30 miles from where we got it, it drove lovely with no rattles or bangs. Air suspension works perfectly.
No warning lights at all.
Bodywork is pretty clean. A polish would do it wonders. The drivers mirror had some god awful steel thing bolted too it which has left 2 holes in it. Wants replacing. Will make a nice car with a bit of love. Oh its Dark blue (because im writing this before putting up pics)
