I have seen some threads on the interweb discussing problems with the D2 cruise control and the clutch switch reading "ON" with a Nanocom. I have this problem and cannot find a solution. I have cut the wire to "35" on the black connector on the ECU with no effect.

Can't get the cruise control to work. Have checked the switches through Nanocom and everything is working except the clutch switch, can't get it to read "OFF".

Is there anyway I can hack the ECU or do something to get that switch to read "OFF"?

Are you sure you cut the correct wire and didnt missidentify it? Presuming you cut the correct wire connect it to earth as the ECU to get earth on that input and see what nanocom reports then, if no change the ECU is fubar and only a specialist can fix it

I'll try that, didn't think about putting it to earth. I have tried a different ECU with the same results so unless I'm really unlucky the problem is with the vehicle.... I've already tried disconnecting the clutch switch, bridged the contacts, unbridged the contacts, put the contacts to earth etc... so last resort was to isolate the pin 35 completely by disconnecting from the vehicle.

Now tried everything I can think of, pin 35 to earth, clutch still "ON". Shorted pins on clutch switch and connected to earth, clutch still "ON". All with 2 separate ECU's. One is NNN0000130 and the other is a second hand MSB, I think from an auto. Thinking that I could buy an MAN file but not sure if the clutch switch would be programmable.

One is NNN0000130
:confused:You should have said that from the beginning cos it's crystal clear now, i didnt even think that you have the wrong ECU on the vehicle. That's auto ECU and doesnt have the internals for the clutch switch input(i presume both your ECUs are auto), a manual fuel map doesnt help, sell it and buy a manual ECU
