Disco 2 td5 back pressure

Hey guys and gals i have a 2001 disco 2 just had head replaced and even with the oil cooler blanked off i still get back pressure in the sump and under rocker cover no other issues that i have seen
New head was put in with new tappets and valves
Anyone had this issue ? Thanks in advance

Piston rings shot potentially. Do a compression test
