disco 2 steering guard install pics

has anyone got any install pics for a steering guard on a disco 2. the one i got is a three piece. don't mind havin a bit spanner myself. hoping its real easy. all help greatly received. mick

Hi mate, Sorry I cant help about pictures.... I fitted one to my D2 a few weeks back and tbh, the instructions were next to useless anyway....and it wasn't the easiest of things to do, quite fiddly and a very tight fit etc.

What ever one you have, you need to fit all the parts "loose" first, otherwise you will most likely find its difficult to get it all lined up.

I suspect you have the same guard my friend has, and the same as Rob above has fitted to. Its easy enough to do, but just take your time.

You "may" find the factory protection bar gets in the way, if it does just remove it as the steering guard is doing a better job anyway.

Its "easiest" to remove the bumper and do it, but you dont have to.

Very good point, and certainly worth pointing out....you wouldnt want to put the guard on the wrong way up afterall would you!! :doh:

I'm sure it will.... i'm pretty sure it's just me, I think in future I will leave the tools in the toolbox and get the pro's to do it! .....Actually, Nah sod that!
