Hi guys, anyone know of somewhere/someone in the Leeds or West Yorkshire area that can calibrate the SLS system? Recently fitted a new ride height sensor and lift kit with spacers 2 new airbags and now the rear sits about an inch or so lower on the passenger side than it does on the drivers side. I've checked the bags, spacers and how the sensors and spacer brackets are fitted and both sides match it just refuses to sit level.

Cheers in advance! :)

Did you forget to disconnect the battery before you removed the sensor?

I did this a wee while ago. Avoided recalibration by cheating a bit. I heat the plastic arm of the new sensor and bent it. Fooled it into correcting itself. Sits dead level now:)

No I disconnected the battery before replacing it. Oh well. The sensors are connected to the radius arms through 2" brackets now to allow for the airbag spacers, so might try a bit of measuring and fabricate a new bracket that's a bit longer and see if that works. There's about an inch to an inch and a half difference between the two sides so would take some extreme arm bending to correct haha

There's a place called Green Oval about a minute up the road from where I work in Gildersome so I'll pop in after I finish and see if they will calibrate it and for how much. Just wondered if there was anywhere someone would recommend

It would surprise you how little adjustment on the arm it takes to lift it just an inch. I never thought of making a bracket that could alter the mount on the arm though. Thats a good idea.

Going to have a quick measure on my lunch break and see if I can't fabricate something if I find 10 minutes this afternoon and i'll report back!

Well, that didn't do much. Quickly made some measurements and there was a half inch difference between the radius arms at the point the sensor bolts to them. Fabricated a new bracket with the mounting holes 1/2 inch further apart, bolted it on, fired her up and it made absolutely no difference at all other than caused both sides to raise a little. Just sat there wonky. Pressed the button to raise the suspension, both sides went up by the same amount and sat 2 inches higher.....but wonky. Hmmmmm, I also noticed that at one point while I was fiddling the arm for the sensor dropped down when I unbolted it causing the car to come up with an SLS error light on the dash and commenced lowering itself to the bump stops. When it did this the extended bracket I'd made would cause the arm on the sensor to bend and eventually snap. So doesn't look like it's an avenue worth pursuing! Old one was reinstalled and engine restarted and she's back to how she was this morning with the Terrafirma +2" bracket on. Shall have to see how much the calibration is this afternoon

There is somewhere on here that lists members with Nanocom, Hawkeye etc diagnostic tools. I think I am correct in saying Nanocom can set and store SLS. Can't remember where it is on site tho. Maybe someone else can help you here, instead of payin stupid money to a stealer.

Not seen that here but over on the D2boysclub there is a Nanocom/hawkeye locator.

Ahhhh, much appreciated. I shall have to have a rummage through the forum when I get home this evening then.

its under lz international rescue

It's here, https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=206406742359300041572.0004aced32df5c8433259

Look for red circles with a spark through for people with dianostics. Click on the ones near you and it'll tell you what diagnostics they have and if you find what you need PM them.

If it's an emergancy PM The Mad Hat Man who keeps the phone contact list

There's 2 pages BTW
