disco 2 rear seats

Hi guys, need some instruction on boot seats, nothing complicated just need to know how to open them, they are not fitted in at the moment,bought s/h saw them open but now cant seem to make them open. All answers gratefully recived.

If you imagine them as they should be in place put away, left hand side seat.

Put your hand on the top of the seat, there is a small clip roughly in the middle, just out of sight if you are opening from the standing position, to release the seat from the side of the vehicle.

With the clip released put your hand down the side of the seat to the bottom so you can slightly lift up while moving your hand from the left of the vehicle to the right. Hopefully it will now be in position to firmly push into the locking mech in the boot floor.

Now lift the seat from what will be the top of the seat to the verticle position.

To put down, use the lever to fold the back down and there is a fabric type band at the rear of the seat that will release it from the boot floor.
