Disco 2 Ipod/Mp3

Hi,

2003 es Disco 2 - Can I connect my Sony MP3 into the radio/cd system? Is it possible to add an auxillary to the cd stacker under the drivers seat or straight to the amp under the passenger seat? It is all the standard Harman Kardan system on the es.

I bought one of these for my 2002 disco: Connects2 Land Rover Freelander auxiliary input adapter - CTVLRX001 from Connects2

My head unit it one of the base models with just the tape and radio. I think it's called a C42 but this gives you a 3.5mm jack or RCA input.

I have an FM conector for my iphone - causes problems because its a phone - but the fm connection is problematic at best even when in airline mode and the phones off. A hard wired solution via the amp would make more sense, but at keast te fm version I have also charges the unit.

I fit one of these in my discovery Sony CDXGT50UI USB iPod in Car CD from argos, it has a lead in the back of the stereo that connects straight to my ipod which sits in my glove box and i control it from the stereo, it cost me 120 pounds 4 weeks ago and is now selling @ 50 pounds, it also has an aux input, usb in the front panel and plays mp3 discs.

My point is for 50 pounds you can get rid of cd changer under the seat and have a really good stereo for 50 quid.
