disco 2 fuel light

Ive been told that when my fuel light comes on in my disco 2 i should get 50 miles before it runs out?

You might be lucky to get that far.
Mine doesn't.
I carry a ten litre can in the back everywhere I go. Just as well.
I ran out a month ago because I thought it would make it to my usual garage, and I don't think that was even THIRTY miles after the yellow light came on.
Disco TD5 fuel gauges are hardly accurate and reliable devices!
