Hi, don't know if anyone can help me at all. .....I had a leaking fuel pressure regulator on my td5. I bought a pattern replacement unit and swapped it over. All seemed good for a while, until it started leaking again. I then changed just the regulator part. Again all fine for a while, but is now leaking again a little. Wondering if the fuel pump could be at fault. Any thoughts would be much apreciated, as this is becoming a pain.
Thanks in advance.

its not uncommon with replacement parts by an oe version, it will be poor regulator parts, unless the pipe fitting or diaphragm o rings are leaking

Thanks.....think I will have to splash out on the genuine parts in future. I just wondered if it could be getting excess pressure some other way?Buy cheap....buy twice eh!

Replaced mine last year, big difference in price but went for the genuine item. Lsak sorted so happy with that.
There are very few bits which I would consider buying pattern. Engine related ones are not one of them.
It's a shame you've found out the expensive way.
