disco 2 front springs,

Hi, I noticed the front sitting lower on my newly bought disco 2 (around 40mm) on driver side. Got the spring replaced under warranty. Shocks were fine but spring had lost tension. Made a big difference to the ride, was very bumpy/loose !? and wandered around a lot before being swapped. Only ever seen springs busted before so was a first and a bit unusual.

I’ve just replaced all the springs on my D2 V8 with standard ones. It was recommended to me to buy the same ones for the back (they are handed) but go for the handed front ones. The reason for the replacement was because I was taking the OME +2” springs off the car! The rear and drivers side springs were Britpart, the front passenger was Eurospares. With the OME (also handed), the front passenger side always appeared slightly lower than the drivers side; it’s now sits level.

well ive a new set of springs and standard hyd shocks sat in the green house , came today so gonna put it all on and get rid of the squeking super gaz shocks, hopefully the new front coils will sort the listing out and maybe stop the wandering, watch this space!

I went for Terrafirma standard shocks this time. My previous Britpart Gaz shocks were more ornamental than functional; however, I was attempting to replace the rear brakes today (thwarted by seized sliders) and noticed that one of my new TF shocks is weeping oil! Sigh!

put new rear shocks on, replaced the tin mud guard bits atthe same time, ride is quiet now, a little more refined, not as harsh as the super gaz, tried the super gaz shock off the car by pushing it in, it sort of stuters as it expands, er fooked i would guess! just front to do now,
