Have removed all three bolts etc and assume the FPR assembly would detach easily from the engine block - but it won’t budge. Any thoughts? Thank you!

If it's very old or some sealant was used(which is not needed) it can be stiff, give it a tug with a rubber hammer or use a flat head screwdriver for leverage, once the FPR is off dont forget to remove the small filter which is beneath in the head and clean it with carb cleaner

Many thanks - will give it a tap!

I’ve got it rotating slightly - almost as if there is another bolt on the bottom and it is pivoting around that. There is a small gap along the top edge now but reluctant to jam a screwdriver blade in there and tap with a hammer to prise it off unless that is the only way?

The only things that are in there are a steel gasket and from memory two very small o rings. If you have the three bolts off it should be free to come off. I would have loosened the pipes first though !!!
Edited: don’t use a screwdriver to lever it off. You could damage the surface
