:DHaving read many good posts about changing air springs, and dissconecting at the compressor to de pressurize, My question is this, once you arrive at the point of releaseing the connectors at the valve block, why cant you just punture the old bag, with a knife. ?
It would deflate, and given that you have new ones to fit , would that not save a lot of fiddling?

As long as you have it jacked up properly, so it won't drop suddenly, stab away - that works too.

But it isn't exactly a difficult or long job to just undo the union at the valve block. Just don't overtighten it doing it up as it is a brass nut into plastic.

The place that did mine just put a huge trolley jack under the tow bar and then a drill through each bag!

I couldn't get a spanner on the nut at the top of the airbag at all - not enough space. Maybe me spanner's just too big. I used a Bradawl which makes a small hole so it didn't deflate too quickly, but I did have to go a bit Norman Bates cos it took so long!

Ah, but you don't need a spanner on the nut at the top of the airbag. You can undo the union at the other end of the pipe where it joins the valve block inside the compressor housing.

Or you can just stick something sharp through the bag. ;-)
