disco 2.5tdis 1992

hi all,prob a sill question,but i have just bought this disco and been reading up in forums ect,my question is as i have never had a diesel before does mine have a cam belt or chain and how do you check it,its done 125000 miles and i dont know if its been done.thanks in advance...madmik

the only way to check it is to strip it and look , and if yer gonna do that ya may aswell change it .... it aint hard to do , do a search and see for yerself .... doozil good , petrol bad ... remember that ....

ARE you mad?

If its a TD or TDI then its got a belt... If you don't know if its been done then get it done ASAP, get the idler pully and tensioner replaced too, whole kits inc. gasket is about £35.
