Disco 2 (2002) no mode light on dash (Automatic Box)

I have no mode light on the dash board of my automatic disco, Its changing gears ok, could it be as simple as a bulb or is there a known fault?

What do you mean by 'mode light'? Do you mean the one that shows if it's in 'normal' or 'sport' mode? There is also a red LED showing the selected gear next to the lever, and a D or R or P etc on the LCD display that shows the mileage.

Hi, yes the the one, I have the red light showing on the gear lever , but not the normal/sport mode. Or anything next to the mileage..

You should do somehow to plug in a tester and make sure the setting in the BCU for warning lamps is not to manual transmission cos it can happen
